The PCG video lab is located behind the conference room, and contains a variety of equipment that can be used to generate video tapes or support teleconferencing. The video lab was organized by Jim Ferwerda, and many lab members have enough experience with the equipment to instruct others in its use. Please make sure you have been shown how to use the equipment before fiddling with the buttons and knobs.

The Video Lab

The video lab contains several recording decks of different types, many video monitors, a video disk recorder, and a router to direct video sources to destinations. This equipment can be used for the production of videotapes. The output of some video sources must be converted from one format to another.

The Conference Room

The conference room contains a number of workstations of different types, along with a projector, speakers, microphones and cameras that can be used for teleconferencing. The equipment in the video lab and conference room can be used during presentations. There are several video widgets available to make such presentations easier to produce.
