ultrasound taken 04/30/99. (Different & larger images) The fetus(s) are ~ ten weeks old and it is a better ultrasound machine.

ultrasound taken 06/30/99 during a level two ultrasound. This ultrasound machine is the most modern to date. Much better resolution. but due to positioning the images are a little on the fuzzy side. You get the idea. Note the vertical line in the center is where the two amniotic sacks meet. (larger images) The fetus(s) are ~ 19 weeks old.

ultrasound taken 06/30/99 of baby A. According to what we saw during the exam, this will be a boy. For baby B there not the same opportunity wrt to idetifying the gendor. (larger image)

The kids are now ~3-4 weeks old in the next set of pictures. Annika still has a respirator (09.27.99) since her lungs are sick. Her lungs are getting better but there is always room for improvement. Both she and her brother now get their nutrition orally vs. an IV. Linus is progressing well, breathing room air without a respirator. They are both gaining weight and able to digest the food that they get. While all this might seem normal, it is much more important for micro-premature infants. Enjoy the pictures.

Images from October 99

There were plenty of changes this month. Annika was taken off her respirator and Linus moved to a crib. We also had visits from grandmother Druckman and grandmother Berggren, and cousin Peter. The kids also celebrated Halloween with their own costumes. It took a while to get them dressed and they fell asleep somewhere in the process.
