Mandala Images
During 1989 and 1990 Pema Losang Chogyen worked with staff members and students at Cornell University Program of Computer Graphics to create a three dimensional model of the Vajrabhairava mandala. In March of 1991 His Holiness the Dalai Lama came to Ithaca, NY and Cornell University. While visiting the Program of Computer Graphics, he viewed the mandala animation, and was presented with a copy.
Mandalas are usually displayed in two dimension, and are commonly made from paper, textiles, and colored sand.
